Happy Tuesday! Yes! I know the weather (at least in NC) is a little bit gloomy but be grateful! You are alive, you still have purpose, and are reading my blog! Thank you!

Confession: I love roller coasters. In fact, if you were to take me to a amusement park--I will ride just about every ride in the place. I love the thrill of the ride, the rush of adrenaline I get coasting down the hill, and the impact of joy I get knowing I had the time of my life experiencing something that some people don't. However, if you can recall the first time you stepped on roller coaster or into any unfamiliar terrority, you probably felt a wave of emotions from fear, doubt, and anxiety. Like me, you possibly sought any advice or encouragement to bulk you up for the challenge.
An great example of this challenge comes from the Bible when Peter walks on water. (Matthew 14:22-33) Peter starts to sink when he stops focusing on Jesus. In short, whenever you stop focusing on the end goal and focus on other distractions, you will become discouraged and ultimately quit. Just like the roller coaster example, if you pay more attention to the drop or the screams of others, you may not want to take a step onto the ride to experience joy and more importantly, a great memory. The beauty of this example is it can be applied to whatever challenge you may be facing in your life right now whether it be a pending job promotion, weight loss challenge, relationship, degree, etc. It will not be easy but it will be worth it. I write this not only to encourage you but myself as well. :)

In my last post, someone asked about the ADA (American diabetes association) walk and more information about where to donate. The link is below. I thank you so much in advance for your support! This cause is near and dear to me!
