"If His name is on me, there is an expectation of me." -Pastor Andy Thompson
Happy Wednesday all! Hope your week is going well!
--------------------------------------------------------
The past month has been an eventful one for me. I got a promotion at work, completed two 5ks, and my boyfriend and I took our relationship to the next level. A lot of accomplishments for someone who set some expectations. I attritube this to how I conduct myself.
My accomplishments are proof that others have expectations for me. My employers had expectations for me to meet in order to get promoted. I set expectations for myself in order to complete my 5ks. My boyfriend set expectations in order for us to improve our relationship. In order for one to meet expectations, you have to the right mindset and conduct. With a poor mindset and negative conduct, you will not get far in life.
I believe in my heart that God wants His people to go from glory to glory. Even Jesus said that He wants us to have life and that more abundantly. So why not set a code of conduct for yourself? A simple way to do this is to write out rules and hold yourself accountable. That is what my boyfriend and I did for our relationship and we will re-evaluate those soon.
I would love to hear from you. What rules of conduct do you have for yourself? For others? How do you hold yourself accountable? I know personally God and the people closet to me hold me accountable for my actions and words. Intergrity is extremely important to me.
